Okay. To save any of you who are "stuck", I am posting the locations of all items and how to use them. (spoiler-proof)
Highlight the white areas to view:
Cd Case: <span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Inside the top-left dresser drawer (useless item)</span>
Memo: <span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Inside the top-right dresser drawer</span>
Cassette Tape: <span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Under the dresser</span>
Gold Key: <span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Under the pillow</span>
Metal Stick: <span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Between the mattress and headboard</span>
Silver Key: <span style=background-color:#ffffff;>On the window sil (open curtains)</span>
Engraved Ring: <span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Inside the dish on the dresser</span>
Heavy Ring: <span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Hidden in drapes. (open and close them a couple times and it will fall out)</span>
Power Cord: <span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Inside the lower-left dresser drawer. (use gold key)</span>
Red Box: <span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Inside the lower-right dresser drawer. (use the silver key)</span>
Regular Key: <span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Inside Cd Player. (Use the Power Cord on the stereo, turn it on, open the cd-tray)</span>
Battery: <span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Between the mattress and wall. (near foot of bed)</span>
Screwdriver: <span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Inside the safe.</span>
Using the Red Box:
<span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Place Heavy Ring in left hole. Place Engraved Ring in right hole. Place Metal Stick in slot. After it opens, place the Battery and Cassette Tape inside and click to activate the projector.</span>
Deciphering the movie:
<span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Watch closely. Towards the end, the dancing man will point to an X on the wall. Position your pointer over the X and when the movie ends, clicky click to reveal the safe.</span>
The safe combination:
<span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Visit the URL written on the Memo. The combination is the 4-digit year that you are shown.</span>
Opening the safe:
<span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Enter the 4-digit combination and place the Regular Key in the keyhole.</span>
Getting out of the room:
<span style=background-color:#ffffff;>Use the screwdriver on the doorknob. Done!</span>
